I like 99.7% of Oppo appreciate the cars that
try
tried to be different. Sometimes those cars in their effort, or over effort try a little too hard. I had no idea the Thunderbird had a color matching interior, cover your eyes. They also did this with the sky blue Thunderbird. I would post a photo but I don’t want to make this post NSFW.

I don’t hate it tbh, think it kind of suits the car!

My FIL had a 2002 and after he died in 2009, he still had some accessories stashed in the garage, including a factory hardtop that sells for...wait for it...$3,900 at the dealer. WTF? Once I posted it to the t-bird forums, I realized how fanatical the car’s following was. I think we sold it for $1,100 to a guy who drove 1,000 miles to pick it up for another guy. When I say fanatical, I don’t just mean about the cars, but about their forums, too. They make PCA people look like laid-back hippies.

I think that trying to “go full retro” was a fun little experiment. It may not have been a huge success, but I’m glad that Ford took the plunge anyway.
If this had been left a concept, I can’t help but wonder if we would be crying out FORD Y U NO BUILD IT, ITS PERFECT right now. But automakers don’t seem to be quite so adventurous now. Most concepts have become either vehicles that are 99% production ready, or meaningless design language studies never intended for the showroom floor.

Fine, I’ll post the teal interior...
I wouldn’t mind one in Monterey Mist

Is that a SSR? Not surprised. (There’s probably a PT Cruiser in the garage, isn’t there?)

he has 2 and he has a Chevy SSR.
Wonder if he also has a new beetle and a pt cruiser to complete the retro car collection.
He also needs a prowler and a HHR

Subtile colors yes, the bright colors are just not flattering.

He has this car, the pace car from the 24 Hours of Daytona (like, the real one, bought it at Barrett or something) -
There is also a ‘vert 968, a C4, an S600, and a 928. Eclectic is a very accurate description.

After the late 80's, early 90's thunderbirds, this was a completel retro fail. If they had stuck with the turbo/super coupe and refreshed the outside the tbird could still be alive.
I like this concept.

These cars didn’t sell very well, but I see them EVERYWHERE, it’s like they follow me. And I really don’t like them. UGHHH DUMB RETRO THUNDERBIRDS

Oh man, my Pops wants one pretty bad. Next to a C5 Corvette.
He’s jumping from one midlife crisis car to another after the Crossfire...

Red too.
And yes, I would totally own one given the chance.

Pontiac did it with the Sunfire for a few years. You could get it in teal or red.
